Dr. Laquidara is a Clinical Psychologist, licensed in California, Nevada and Florida. Additionally, she has been credentialed as a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor in New York in 1985. She has Bachelors and Masters degrees from Russell Sage College, Troy, New York and a Doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology, a division of Allient International University, Los Angeles, California. She has worked in criminal justice, family court, university and family counseling centers, and private practice. She has published and completed her doctoral dissertation on eating disorders and adult children of chemically dependent families.

Methods:Dr. Laquidara uses an evidence based, integrative approach. After a thorough analysis and agreement on treatment goals, various appropriate approaches are discussed regarding how each effects and facilitates recovery. Some of the techniques include stress reduction, hypnosis, insight, behavioral, and cognitive psychotherapy.  Different techniques may be used at different times within the recovery and healing process, taking into consideration the individual and latest research.
